Reflecting back at Zero point, North Sikkim.

I visited Sikkim in the end of October 2016. It was a remarkable journey. I had visited Sikkim as a very small kid with my parents, but the memories stuck with me. I vowed that i would return as an adult, and have a whole new experience. Time flew by, i grew up, with a passion for photography. Armed with my trusty Nikon D5200, and two of my best friends, i set off to relive the beauty of Sikkim.

It was a very interesting experience. I got to point out changes in the environment and the place since i had last visited to my friends. It was a very different place now, It is the cleanest state in the country (it shows) and the people are amazing! The food and the views from the mountains are a treat. When i had visited Sikkim as a kid, Zero point was the very first place i had ever seen snow. I never knew joy like the day i first played with snow and made my first snowball! It was wonderful. I had decided right there, that i never wanted to leave. But, Alas! I had to.

When i visited Zero point this time, all those memories came rushing back to me. The feeling of amazement i had right then, was no different than what i had felt as a kid. The Himalayas and Sikkim, cannot be visited or experienced just once in a lifetime! Here’s waiting for the next time!
