Humble and Happy in Himachal

There is a reason why the first snow fall embraces the mountain who stands tall with its highest peak and patiently awaits its coming. But we often take perseverance and hard work for granted unlike the mountains. If only we choose to stay firm and steady with faith in ourselves and work hard towards what we wish to achieve will success embrace on us like the first snowfall.

Journey to Himachal kept me away from all distractions. Being the person i am, i notice smallest of the things and observe acutest of the behaviors. So much to observe and store in my memory i was overwhelmed with information and visual input from nature. The mountains painted with pine trees and sky glittering with galactic stars. It’s a natural trance state.  Its natures way to protect you from the negative and show you the positive when all else fails.

Trekking to Tosh and Malana were one of my best experiences. The paths paved with snow and brown soil with soft music of the breeze hustling through the dry leaves making its way to your ears and comforting you in the chill. The culture and the people fascinated me. Such simplicity and content is rare to spot in a city where we are running a race with an uncertain end line.

The silhouette of the trees that have shed their leaves to make way for the perfect capture of the white mountains and the snow shining like diamonds, a perfect spot to meditate and be one with yourself and nature.

Such closeness to mother nature makes you feel vulnerable and minuscule at the same time. You as a human realize how weak of species we are.

Living as a herd in the cities we start feeling indispensable and superhuman but the truth that you explore out there is something that will make you humble and thankful so many things.

We can only destroy nature in bits and pieces with effort and time but nature has no such limitations.

What i got back from this trip was more humility and more perseverance.
