A chat with an old soul

I have always wanted to know what everyone's first thought is when they see towering mountains.
Do you want to take a picture of it? Or imagine climbing it? Or want to paint it? Or do you want to just gaze at the beauty?
Me? I want to talk to the mountains.
It probably sounds pretentious and insane but I am serious. I want to tell them my deepest desires and best kept secrets and darkest fears. I feel they have been through so much moulding and changing ever since the formation of earth that there must be some life and soul deep seated in the core of the mountain heart. They have seen the discovery of fire by man, they have witnessed the transition of homo habilis to erectus to sapiens, they have seen the discovery of wheels, the climate changes, dinosaurs, woolly mammoths and probably a good number of aliens too. The mountains are wise old souls and talking to them unclutters the mind.
Honestly, I didn't set out to find myself or anything Eat, Pray, Love on this trip but I think I did learn some things about me. I certainly underestimate myself to a large extent and I am stronger than what I believe I am. There is a saying, "He only gives you as much pain as you are capable of handling"
So, by now I am sure I could totally do all the 12 labours of Hercules and emerge unscathed
This magnificent view was right outside our hotel. I was exploring around on my own since I got ready first!(as usual)
