I Woke up early on a sunny winter morning to explore the beautiful Nameri National Park. (Nameri National Park is located in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas in the Sonitpur District of Assam, India. Nameri is a birder’s paradise with over 300 species of birds). I was returning back from my morning hike when this beautiful mustard field caught my sight.
The sky was clear, the sun was bright and the bees were buzzing early morning tunes. The entire place was devoid of any human soul apart from me and my friend. Mustard fields come into life during the early stage of winter contrasting the dull and cold wintery days. The place looked heavenly and I couldn’t stop running through the mustard fields like a child. The world around me was covered in yellow and the only sound I could hear was the buzzing of the bees. Beautiful isn’t it?
Couldn’t stop noticing how my clothes contrast the beautiful background. Just like the quote “The world is made of sins (the black clothes signifying it) and beautiful things (the mustard fields, of course)
Apart from the beautiful mustard fields, I did see a few migratory birds near the river bank of Nameri. Was very excited to cross the river by a ‘Vintage’ boat and yes, my morning hike was amazing. A visit to Nameri National Park at the beginning of the year is a must!
