Overcoming my fear of heights.

Reema, Near Nepal Border, Uttarakhand

In my childhood my travel toward my natives gave me goosebumps. And my father loved to roadtrip all of us toward Goa.

Because the mountainous range has beautifully dangerous curves that not only invite motion sickness but scare everything out of me, I always gave these plans a seventh thought.

After coming to Uttarakhand, the kind of travel I feared is something I’m doing everyday. Yes I’m still scared but this time I believe in facing it. Can I now proudly suggest that we must face our fears?

Let me share with you why am I willing to learn the things I used to run away from.

Society craves contribution and something new is always contributed to the community.

These contributions are somehow made for the welfare and development of the society. So when the variation in these perspectives mix with the community, transformation takes place.

And I want to be a part of this transformation. I don’t want to sit inside my room, cribbing about the undeveloped rural communities. I want to sit between people discussing measures to bring necessary changes.

You can do the same. I know one day isn’t enough to bring any change. But if you visit these remote locationd and just have a good conversation with the people around, believe me they will never forget you.

Because you are going to be their ideal. 🌻
