A team of Teton Gravity Research were on Nepal to film a movie. Mary Ann Potts and her brother Jeremy Jones who started in the movie were on their first descent of the Himalayas. They were in the Himalayas for three weeks and shot some aerials over the course of four days. All of this was done in a helicopter and for it a remote fueling station was setup at Ama Dablam base camp. This allowed them to spend lots of time in the heart of the range.
The camera used was The GSS C520. It is the largest five-axis, gyro-stabilized platform with a 20-inch diameter gimbals. The platform was developed to integrate the latest full-size and modular digital cinema cameras with any long or short lens option available on the market.
The advanced gyro-stabilized camera was able to create some of the best aerials shots of the Himalayas including the Everest itself.
